Designer Tatiana Zadora (Studio Z) acted as her own general contractor to reconstruct this old mansion from the ground up. Balancing historical committee demands with modern code requirements and a desire for maximum energy efficiency, Zadora has found autoclaved aerated concrete to be the answer for exterior walls, interior walls, and even ceilings. Both inside and out, the dwelling combines spacious modern design with old world charm to provide living space that is both practical and posh.
